International Graduate Program Medical Neurosciences
Based on the material covered previously (Basic Neurobiology/ Neuropathophysiology), this module is heavily devoted to the clinical manifestations of pathophysiological changes in the nervous system. Therefore, many of the lectures are giving by active clinicians, frequently illustrated by case presentations. Topics include the larger systems like vision or smell, higher cognitive functions like learning and memory, as well as neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatric disorders.
A third lab rotation affords yet another inside look at participating research groups and expands the methodological breadth of students further. It is out of one of the three lab rotations, that students are expected to develop a thesis project. See also module 9.
