Module 5: Lab Rotation 24 CP

The goal of this module is two fold:

Students will gain experience and practical skills in the lab: learning methods hands on, preparing and executing experiemnts under supervision, keeping a lab books and discussing experimental set ups and data in wrtiting

Students will get to know the research groupsparticipating in the program and vice versa, resulting in continued projects

This module allows students to develop scientific expertise based on their individual interest. Students can choose freely from amongst seminars, lectures, symposia, journal clubs, workshops an the like offered in Berlin or elsewhere. In sum, students need to accrue 10 CP for this module.

Once during the program, students need to give a 15 min presentation on a topic of their choice. The garde obtained in this presentation makes up the module grade and is based on:

  • Structure
  • Content
  • Time management
  • Take-home message
  • Quality and effectiveness of slides
  • Speech and body language
  • Ability to answer questions and argue the point during discussion
