International Graduate Program Medical Neurosciences

I have been a Master student in the student cohort of 2009-2011. During my studies I focused on neurooncology and I did my Master Thesis in the Department of Experimental Neurosurgery under the supervision of Prof. Vajkoczy. After my graduation I decided to gain more research experience in cancer research and abroad, and therefore I applied for an internship in the United States. I am currently working as a research scholar at the Helen Diller Family Cancer Research Center of UCSF in the laboratory of Prof. Weiss. I will be staying at UCSF until June 2012 and hope to start my PhD in cancer research next summer.
I decided to become a Campus Ambassador because I like to inform more and more people around the world about the Graduate Program of Medical Neurosciences. My time as a student’s representative of our class inspired me to help to encourage young motivated students to start their career in the field of Neurosciences. The Graduate Program of Medical Neurosciences offers a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge in Neuroscience, get some insight in clinical neuroscience and enjoy the exciting life in Berlin.
